A family pet is missing after an intentionally set fire burned down a Santee home on Clifford Heights Road. On New Years Day, Michael Cour set his house on fire resulted in the house burning down and the death of himself and his wife and the evacuation of nearby homes.
While the house was burning, Cour’s next door neighbors, the Signorino’s were forced to evacuate their house immediately. Only Signorino’s mother, who is 89, was home at the time. She wanted to get the animals, but the firemen told her there was no time and she was forced to leave the family’s three cats and two dogs behind.
