Authorities found her car abandoned across state lines and her family feared the worse. They were sure that she had been kidnapped. No one knew what happened to McMullen and it was as though she had disappeared from the face of the earth.
Discovery Channel’s “Disappeared” reran a story on her disappearance recently and that is when a viewer recognized McMullen. The anonymous tipster called the police and the FBI and police tracked her to a hair salon in Oakland. When they showed up, they knew they were right.
