Remains of Mississippi woman missing since 2008 found near her car

A woman that has been missing since 2008 after she went to visit her husband in the hospital, was found on Friday.
The remains of Virginia Ratliff, 83, of Brookhaven, Mississippi was found laying next to her car, with the driver’s side door open and the February 28, 2008 edition of the Clarion-Ledger sitting on the front seat.
Even though Virginia had not driven in years, she decided on that fateful day to drive her 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis to see her beloved husband, Charlie, that recently had surgery at the Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The police have not done an autopsy yet, so they are not sure why Virginia was found laying about 50 feet from her car. They don’t know if she fell, or just laid down to go to sleep and never woke up again.
