Deborah Heriford: Vigil planned for Saturday evening

Deborah Heriford

The children of a missing 51-year-old Colorado Springs woman haven’t given up hope that their mother will return home safe.

A candlelight vigil is planned for Saturday evening to offer family and friends of Deborah Heriford a chance to pray for her safe return.

Deborah has been missing for a week, and her dog, Happy was found with his leash tangled on a pole.

The vigil will begin at 8 p.m. at Dublin Park, west of the intersection of Dublin and Union boulevards in Colorado Springs.

“It’s an extremely difficult situation,” said her daughter, Sarah Heriford. “We’re handling it the best we can and we’re sticking together as a family and we’re leaning on each other for support. That is what she would want.”
