Victoria Perez: Missing pregnant woman from Louisiana Found

Victoria Perez

UPDATE 2/1/14 – After missing for almost three years, the remains of Victoria Perez has been found.

Pamela Causey Fregia was charged Saturday with first-degree murder and first-degree feticide of Victoria Perez and her unborn baby.

On Jan. 27 Danon Maricle, an agent from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, received a tip. Maricle contacted The Oakdale Police Department, and on Tuesday they interviewed one of Fregia’s children who reported witnessing Victoria being killed by her mother  in 2011, Doug Hebert of Allen Parish told the Town Talk

Hebert said they believe Fergia planned to cut Victoria’s baby out of her and keep it for herself after she lied about being pregnant, in hopes it would make her husband come back after he left her in 2010.

The details of the crime is horrific.  According to the police,  Fregia reportedly killed Perez by “blunt force.”  She then somehow got her body to the back of her family’s property that was wooded where she burned the body over the next several day and then buried Victoria.

Original story:  Victoria Perez, 22, of Alexandria, Louisiana has been missing since March 11, 2011, and it seems as though no one is looking for her.

According to Allison Chaudoir, the Cottonport Topix Editor who alerted me about missing Victoria Perez,  the Alexandria Police Dept. have not looked for her.  In fact, there has been little attention, and the media has not picked up Victoria’s story.

Victoria was last seen walking on Interstate 49 at the Woodworth exit on March 11th.  The day before she was seen at the Rapides Regional Medical Center.   After the appointment, Victoria called the Van Transportation Company to pick her up and bring her home.  The Van was delayed and by the time they got there, Victoria was gone.

Adding to her disappearance is the fact that Victoria is 8-months pregnant and her baby is due on May 4th.   She may need medical help, but where is she?

Dawn Larose, who agrees with Allison, says that not enough is being done to search for Victoria, “Allison, my sister, is Vicky’s friend and is raising one of Vickys children. After reading your post, I wanted to say thank you for all your efforts and your concern. and you’re absolutely right about there being more that could have been done.”

Because of jurisdiction confusion, both Alexandria Police Dept. and the LeCompte Police Dept. are handling the missing person case.

“Does she not deserve to be kept in the public eye so the community can be reminded she is out there and probably needs our help?” said Allison.

Yes, she does, Allison and I am here to join you and let the public no that she is missing.

Victoria is Hispanic, 5’2″ tall, 150-180 pounds, dark brown hair and brown eyes.  She is a resident of Lecompte, Louisiana, but went missing in Alexandria.  She was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and black jeans.  She also has tattoos around her wrists, with the name “Tony” and her upper-right arm and upper right leg with the name “Adam”.  She may be wearing glasses.

Her case is currently listed on the NamUs website.
