Body found in Bloomington, Indiana

Lauren Spierer
Morgan Johnson
Promela Meta-Paul

UPDATE:  The identity of the body was 20-year-old Shaneice Nicholson.  There was no cause of death.

A body has been found in Fall Creek by a child early Monday morning, and there was speculation is might be missing Indiana University sophomore Lauren Spierer.

Authorities have said that the body was recovered on the north east side of Indianapolis, but that there is not enough information to determine the identity, and have not relayed if it is male or female.

“A forensic examination is pending which hopefully will provide more information,” said Bloomington Police Lt. William Parker.

Police have been searching for missing Lauren Spierer since she went missing on June 3rd after walking home alone to her Bloomington apartment.

Police have called off the general searches for the Greenburgh, New York native, but volunteers and family are still searching.

There are other people that are missing in Indiana that I have written about in the past:

Promila Mehta-Paul has been missing from Munster, Indiana since March 21 and Morgan Johnson has been missing from Plainsville since May (Morgan’s remains were found in his car that was in a pond on July 19, 2013) and Dorothy M. Heard has been missing from Noblesville since June 13. (Dorothy’s remains were found in Feb. 2012)
