Toddler disappears into cornfield

Taydon Faulhaber, 2, and his dad stopped by the side of the road for a break, when Taydon ran into the cornfield and disappeared in Plankinton, South Dakota.

The corn was about 20 inches apart and stood 8-10 feet tall, making it impossible to find Taydon.  They searched all night but they believe Taydon fell asleep and couldn’t hear them yelling for him.  Then around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, his mother using a loudspeaker could hear Taydon screaming back.

He eventually walked out of the field on the opposite side where he went in.

Taydon was wet with dew but was fine.  He was taking to an area hospital for a checkup
