Missing Dixie Beach toddler found in river

Police have found the body of the missing 2-year-old toddler from Dixie Beach, Kentucky that went missing yesterday, July 25.

Christina Norris’ body was found early this morning about two miles south of where she went missing.

Christina was in the Ohio River with her parents and other children and adults when she disappeared.    Witnesses say that Christina was pointing to something in the water and her parents looked away and she disappeared.

There was speculation whether she had a floatation device on and when she was found, she did not.

“I jumped in to cool off, when I came back out of the water, I was 100 feet away from the boat,” said David Green explaining the swift current in the river.

Searcher crews began searching shortly after Christina went missing around 11:00 a.m.

“This is not going to be another Caylee Anthony story, where they are going to do nothing about it.  There is going to be a charge of neglect, at least,” said Christina’s great aunt, Teresa Gilley.
