Thelma Wideman: Dog remained by her side after she died

Thelma Wideman

The body of missing Thelma Wideman, 74, was found in some tall weeds, close to her home, with her dog, Tucker, still by her side.

Thelma left her home Saturday morning to walk her dog, Tucker, a white Pomeranian on the Erie Canal Trail.  Her car was found parked along the canal with the keys locked inside, but Thelma was no where to be found.

Then late Monday, authorities found Thelma’s body and her dog was still at her side.  They are saying that Thelma was overcome by the heat.

There is no foul play suspected in her death.
