Madeline Samaan Fay: Amber Alert cancelled, father and daughter found dead

The angels are crying again today, for innocent, little Madeline Samaan Fay.

Missing Madeline Samaan Fay, 2, and her father, Mourad “Moni” Samaan, were found dead in Mourad’s green Toyota 4Runner in Somerset, California.  The cause of death is pending.

Authorities have been searching for Madeline every since she was taken by her father, Mourad “Moni” Samaan, 49, on August 7th.  Madeline’s mother had just been granted custody of the little girl, which ended the joint custody they previously had.  Mourad and Madeline disappeared after that.  They were found in a remote area of Sommerset, California, which is about 50 miles east of the capital, Saturday evening near Placerville.

The Amber Alert for Madeline has been cancelled, but authorities have not released a confirmation of identity.

The cause of death has not been released and investigators are still on the scene.
