Leslie Dona: Missing woman from Wood River, Illinois

Update:  Leslie Dona has been found.  She was involved in a traffic accident and was taken to the hospital.  She is fine.

Leslie Dona, 41, from Wood River, Illinois called in sick on Friday and told her employer that she had a migraine headache, but when she didn’t show up for work on Monday, her fellow co workers began to worry about her.

“It’s not like her to just not show up,” City Manager Jim Schneider said.  Leslie works as the assistant city finance director and assistant treasurer at the Wood River’s Finance Department.

Authorities were able to trace a $300 withdrawal from Dona’s account at an ATM near Mid Rivers Mall in St. Peters, Missouri.  Her photo was captured at the ATM at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, about an hour after she normally would have been at work.  A witness saw her putting gasoline in her car after that.  There has not been any other transactions since.

Dona left with her home with her wallet, but left her purse and cell phone behind.

Dona is 5’5″ tall, 145 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.  She drives a 2011 Ford Fiesta with the license plate “LESLIE 1.”

If you have any information please call the Wood River police at (618) 251-3114.
