Max Weischedel: Willamette University Student missing

Update:  Found!  According to News 12, “Police say they found Weischedel in a wooded area near the hotel after getting a phone call from a FOX 12 viewer who spotted him.

Willamette University football coach and players are asking the public’s help in finding Max Weishedel, 22, a junior at the university in Salem, Oregon.

Willamette plays for the Bearcat football team and he disappeared on Sunday night.  He was last seen at the Best Western Mill Creek Inn.

Weischedel’s coach described him as a reserved student, but a hard worker and dedicated player. 

“The team’s message tonight is, Hey Max, we want you to come back.  We want you to get in touch with us, and get in touch with your parents and come back,” said Mark Speckman, head coach.

Max is 6’3″ tall, 280 pounds.  He was last seen wearing faded yellow basketball shorts, light colored t-shirt.  He left his keys, cell phone and wallet behind at the hotel.
