Charlie Roberts: Remains found, suspect charged

The remains of missing Charlie Roberts was found in a river in northern Greenville County, by a person walking through the woods near Geer Highway.

Charlie, 41, was from Greenville County, South Carolina and was last seen leaving his job on Slater Road around 8:00 a.m. on July 8.

An autopsy showed that Charlie died from a gunshot wound.  Jerry Leonard Allen, Jr., 24, of Mariettta was charged with Charlie’s murder, and is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
