Valerie Sue Palmer: Missing woman from Michigan UP

Update:  The body of a missing Valerie Sue Palmer  found Wednesday evening along the shoreline of Torch Bay, at the Bootjack area, according to the Houghton County Sheriff Department.

An autopsy is scheduled to decide the cause of death.

Valerie Sue Palmer, 55, has been missing every since her boat was found adrift in Torch Bay on Tuesday.  Authorities found her purse and bicycle inside the boat.

Search parties have been looking for her in the water and on ground and have focused their search to the Torch Bay and Portage Lake area. 

Valerie is 5’8″ tall, 145 pounds with white hair, hazel eyes and wears glasses.  She was last seen wearing an aqua colored capri pants and a white and yellow tank top and visor.

She is a resident of Houghton, Michigan that is located in the upper peninsula.
