Missing woman found buried under her home

Walter Roark

Stephanie Roark, from Manchester, Kentucky has been missing for over two months, but was found buried underneath her mobile home on Wednesday.

Authorities suspected that Stephanie’s husband, Walter Roark, 45, might know something about her disappearance.  He had stated that Stephanie had left in a white car, but after questioning him multiple times, he finally told the police where she was.

“After interviewing and getting through all the information, he did make the statement where his wife’s body was located,” said Sheriff Kevin Johnson.

Walter told the police that his wife had passed away from a drug overdose, and that is why he buried her underneath their trailer at 2688 Sandhill Road in Manchester

Stephanie was found wrapped in a sleeping bag and put in a shallow grave.

Walter is being held at the Clay County Detention Center charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.
