Two Telluride boys go missing while dad is rock climbing

Update:   Christopher Ihinger and Danny Eberly have been found in Phoenix. 

“The boys admitted to running away, to taking the truck and driving it to Phoenix,” read a statement issued by the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office. “They were apprehended by the Phoenix Police Department after being suspected of committing some crimes.”

Christopher Ihinger, 12, and Danny Eberly, 14, have gone missing while waiting for their dad while he was rock climbing in Colorado.

The boys, who are from Telluride, Colorado were waiting at the trailhead as Araron Ihinger, the father of Christopher and Eric Wright had gone rock climbing on Sunday.

As the men were on their climb, they noticed that the truck was gone and came back down.  When they got there the boys and the truck were missing.

The men took off walking looking for the boys and help and were picked up by a man who was bear hunting, who took them to Norwood.

Ihinger’s wallet was in the truck and so far they have not been used.

Christopher Ihinger is 5’4″ tall, 130 pounds with brown hair.  He was wearing a black t-shirt and pants with a black and yellow baseball cap.

Danny Eberly is 5’5″ tall, 100 pounds with brown hair and he was  wearing a baseball cap.

The truck is a white Ford F-150, 4-door crew cab with Colorado license plate 801 RBH.  There is a large dent on the right rear door.
