UPDATE:  Dec. 11, 2014 –
Remains found in Valencia County, N.M. were found to NOT belong to Tara.  Investigators are now wondering; who do they belong to?

Vanished – The Tara Calico Story is almost completed and an online fundraiser has started to help gather funds to finish the last rounds of the interviews and to get the film out to the public.

Tara Calico (click on link to read full story and the story behind the photo) was 19 when she vanished in 1988.  She was last see on a bike in Rio Communities golf course near her home in Belen, New Mexico.

Melinda Esquibel was inspired to make the film because of her desire to bring justice to Tara and her family…and to inspire someone to come forward about Tara’s case or the case of anyone who has been abducted.

“We have completed most of the filming and RJ Mitte has come on to help with the fundraising,”  Melinda Esquibel, the Directory of the film told me.

RJ Mitte, is a fabulous actor and is best known for the character, Walt White, Jr., that he plays on the hit TV show, Breaking Bad.  Click on the video above to hear why he is supporting this film.

Donations for Vanished – The Tara Calico Story start at a $1.00 and each level of donation includes different perks, from an autograph from RJ Mitte, to walking the red carpet with RJ Mitte to credit as  an Executive Producer of the film.

“I think it is important to tell her story to the world for many reasons, but more importantly, I think we should remember Tara, and the beautiful spirit she really was,” said Melinda.
