Larry Starks: Daughter needs help finding her dad

This is an interesting one out of Downey, California.  Larry Everett Starks, 69, who is a retired San Diego County sheriff’s deputy went missing in Florida about two years ago.

On January 5th, he was found in front of the Frantone’s Pizza and Spaghetti Villa near Telegraph Road and Serapis Avenue in Downey.  Larry had no money and no ID, and the police took him to Kaiser Permanente hospital.  The staff confirmed he was who he said he was and then released him on January 6.

Kiersten Carlin, 32, Larry’s daughter, has been looking for him since he disappeared two years ago.  Evidently, Larry stopped taking his medication for schizophrenia and she hasn’t been able to track him down till now.  Kiersten has been in Downey for several days now looking for her dad.

If you live in the area, can you keep an eye out for Larry?

Larry is 6’2″ tall and was wearing blue sweat pants and a dark-colored windbreaker.  He has a beard and walks around Downey and Norwalk.

If you see Larry, please help Kiersten reunite with her dad and call the Downey Police at 562-861-0771.
