Amy Northrop: Missing Fremont woman’s car found

Update: Amy has been found in the Santa Cruz mountains.  She was taken to Watsonville Community Hospital for evaluation.

Amy had been “stressed” about her medical condition, which may have caused her to voluntarily go missing, authorities said. Details of the condition were not released.

Amy Northrop, 46, of Fremont, California has been missing since Monday evening.  On Wednesday, her 2008 Nissan Altima was found on Ormsby Cutoff Road in the Santa Cruz mountains. 

The sheriff’s office and search and rescue have looked for Amy but have not found her. Search dogs and helicopters were brought in on Thursday.

Amy is 5’9″ tall, 140 pounds and she was wearing a white fleece jacket and blue jeans.
