Michael George: Missing from South Carolina Found

UPDATE:  12/23/13 – George’s remains have been found buried in a hole in the woods near a home on Busbee Road near Gaston.

 Lexington County Sheriff’s investigators received a tip on where they could find Michael’s body from one of the three people previously arrested in the case, said Maj. John Allard, a sheriff’s department spokesman.

Previous story:  Michael George, 22,  from West Columbia, South Carolina was last seen on Christmas Eve.  His car, a 1994 Nissan Sentra was found abandoned on Christmas Day on Beckman Road road south of Columbia Metropolitan Airport.

According to a police report, George was at Shooters, a bar in West Columbia, on December 24, and he left around 2:30 a.m., with an acquaintance.  The man drove George to his home near Swansea.  George left the man’s home and was not seen after that.

Police have conduced aerial searches in that area near Beckman Road where George’s car was found.

George is 6 feet tall, 135 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
