UPDATE:   The Coroner has positively identified the body found in the Frances Marion National Forest as those of Darla.  The Coroner said that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.  .

UPDATE:  A body was found not far from where the woman’s burning SUV was discovered.  Investigators have not publicly identified the remains found Friday afternoon in the Frances Marion National Forest.

UPDATE:  Charleston County Coroner confirmed that the body of Dara’s fiancee, David Hedrick was found in the home they shared on Friday, dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Dara Watson is missing from her home in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Dara was last seen by her mother in Boone on Monday.  She was last heard from on Wednesday by her boss who received a text message from her.  Cell phone towers showed she was in the vicinity of Venning Road in Mount Pleasant.

Late Friday night, authorities found Dara’s silver Envoy near Halfway Creek Road.  The car was burned badly and there was no confirmation whether their was a body inside.

Dara is 5’4″ tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
