Christina Olsen: Missing from Wisconsin Found

UPDATE:  May 9, 2012 – On April 5, a fisherman spotted a partially submerged body in a brush pile on the riverbank about a half-mile down river from the Interstate 94 bridge.

The body was taken to Regina Medical Center in Hastings, Minnesota.  Thecondition of the body made it difficult to identify.

An autopsy determined the cause of death was freshwater drowning with factors of hypothermia, dental records identified the body as Christina.

The police believe that she  committed suicide.

Christina Olsen, 34, was last seen on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her home on Vine Street in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  Her roommate said that Christina said she was going outside to smoke and her roommate says she doesn’t know if she came back inside or left.

When investigators used dogs to track her, they lead them from her home toward the Chippewa River.

“We cannot say for certain that’s where she is that’s the area the bloodhound lost its track and lost its interest,” said the Eau Claire Police Dept.

Christina is 5’3″ tall, 120 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes.   If you have any information about her whereabouts, please call 715-839-4972.
