Ava Enlow: Missing after parental kidnapping in Arizona Found

UPDATE:  March 31, 2012

Ava has been located safe in Mexico.  Her father has been arrested.

UPDATE:

Ava Enlow:  Grandmother says Ava better off without mother.

ABC News talked with Anderson’s’ mother, Melinda Barros who said, “He should have never had to go though what he has gone through.  It has pushed him to the limit where he has to take off.”

According to Barros, her son remarried on February 11 and might be on his honeymoon with Ava.

Barros had no problem voicing her personal feelings when she said that she felt that Ava was better off not here, and should be without her mother.  She also said that if the police find her going back to her mother would not be good.

“I don’t know anything.  He did not want me to know anything.  I know she is fine wherever she is at with my son,” said Barros.

When Barros was on the Nancy Grace show, Nancy wanted to know why her son has not contact her.

“He doesn’t want to get taught.  He won’t contact me,” said Barros “He doesn’t want me to get in any trouble.”

All I have to say is it doesn’t matter, whether her son contacts her or not.  She is on national TV, she should be telling her son on TV in front of millions of viewers, to get his butt back home and bring Ava to her mother.  She should be a mother and tell her son that what he is doing is wrong.  For Barros to do anything less shows she is an accomplice.

I believe Barros knows about where her son is and I believe she encouraged him to take off with Ava.  She doesn’t like her daughter-in-law one bit and feels her son is justified in taking off with Ava.

The bottom line.  NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DO THAT.  Yes, I am furious.

Previous story:

Ava Enlow, 3, was abducted while visiting with her father, Brent Anderson, 31, in Anthem, Arizona.

Brent took Ava from his home in North Phoenix and their location is unknown at this time.  Friends and family have tried to reach him, but he does not respond.

Police said that Brent lost his job and was having financial hardships.  Ava’s mother dropped Ava off for a 5 day visit and did not know that Brent was moving at the time.  She did not know that Ava was gone until she went to pick her up 5 days later, and learned that Brent no longer lived there, and the house had been foreclosed on.

Brent is 5’10” tall, 235 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.  Ava is 3 feet tall, 40 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

They may be traveling in Brent’s truck which is a dark blue 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2-door with Arizona plates 038KSV.

If you have any information as to their whereabouts, please call the Phoenix Police Dept at 602-534-2121.
