Eleanor Pearce: Missing from Texas Found

UPDATE: Maintenance workers on a boat spotted the body of Elanor floating in the Lake around just before 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Due to the condition of the body, further investigation is required, according to a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office.

Pearce lived in the home with her husband near the lake, but did not know how to swim, according to her sons.

Eleanor Pearce, 58, is missing from Travis County, Texas.  She was seen walking her dog on February 15.  Eleanor’s husband, Kenneth told investigates he saw her on February 18 in the morning when she left their home around 3 in the morning.

Authorities have said that Kenneth was arrested on February 8 on a violence charge from four years ago and he was out on bond when she disappeared.

Eleanor’s son’s Michael Chapman, a firefighter in California and David, a police officer have been in Texas searching for their mother. 

“Like any couple they have their disagreements and she’s been known to stay at a neighbor.  If she were to leave the house I would get a call within a day or two of her advising me of her location and that she was okay and not to worry about her,” said David.

Eleanor’s home was searched and no evidence of foul play was found.
