Randi and Vanessa Martinez: Amber Alert Willow California Found

Randi and Vanessa Martinez have been found safe.
Kidnapping suspect 30-year-old Leonard Dale Tuttle Jr. was taken into custody.

Two children are believed to have been kidnapped from the town of Willows, California on Friday morning around 9:30.

The children are Randi N. Martinez, 2, and Vanessa A. Martinez, 5.

Glenn County authorities say the suspected kidnapper is Leonard Dale Tuttle Jr. , who is not the children’s father. 

Nancy Martinez, their mother called police around 11:00 a.m. and said the Tuttle took her two kids.  She is in a relationship with him when she lived in Covelo, but left the area about a week ago to return to Willows to live with family. 

Tuttle arrived at Willows last night to try to reconcile the relationship. 

Tuttle was visiting with the family Friday morning.  The police report says, “He left the children to buy a present at Walmart.”  But I wondering if they meant he left WITH the children. 

When the children couldn’t be found, the family checked the Walmart but did not find them there.

Tuttle is 30, American Indian, 6 feet 7 inches tall and 360 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Tuttle Jr. has a tattoo of lips on the left side of his neck and a feather and panther tattoo on his right arm.

The suspect was last seen driving a Mitsubishi Lancer, California license plate number 5PIB347. 

Randi is Native American, 3 feet tall and 40 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. 
Vanessa is Native American, 4 feet tall, 70 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
