Ayla Venable: Missing 13-year-old from Portland Found

UPDATE: Portland Police say they have located a 13 year-old girl who had been missing since Friday afternoon in downtown Portland.

Ayla Venable was with a runaway teen, 15 year-old Tremane Jarrod Salazar when authorities found her.

Ayla Venable has last seen at the Lloyd Center shopping mall in Portland, Oregon on Friday.  Her parents had dropped her off so that Ayla could meet Tremane Jarrod Salazar, 15,  who she had met over the internet, according to police. Ayla was to meet her family at 3:00 p.m. but she never showed up. 

Police said that Ayla and the boy were last seen at the east end of the mall and they may have walked toward Holladay Park.

“There is also concern that she may become medically endangered, as she is in need of daily medication,” the police told WCN news. “The family only recently moved to the Portland – Vancouver area, from a small town in Kansas, and Ayla is reportedly not familiar with the metro area’s mass transit system.”

Ayla is 5’2″ tall, 120 pounds with long straight light brown hair and blue eyes.  She was wearing glasses, a black zippered hood, blue jeans and mid-calf gray boots.

Tremane Jarrod Salazar, 15 is 5’6″ tall. Olive skin with brown hair.  He was wearing a gray oldie jacket, blue jeans and white knit cap with black trim.  Salazar is missing from his Portland home.
