Mikayla McBroom: Missing teen may have been abducted Found

UPDATE:  Mikayla has been found safe.

Mikayla McBroom, 16, was reported missing on Saturday from Columbus, Ohio after her mother dropped her off at a friend’s house to spend the night on Friday.

Bridgette Lucas, Mikayla’s mother was told by her daughter’s friend that Mikayla left with a man in a car.  Sunday night she received a call from her daughter.

“She sounded afraid and asked me if I was home by myself,” Lucas said. “I tried to get out of her what was going on. ‘Is somebody listening to your call? Is someone listening to you talk to me?’ She said, ‘somewhat,’ and she kept trying to assure me she was OK, but it didn’t sound like she was OK.”

Then Bridgette starting receiving text messages from her daughter saying she had been harmed.  “(They said) that somebody put her in a car. The story changed a couple of times. That they had dropped her off, that they were sorry.”

Micayla is 5’3″ tall, 180 pounds with dark skin, brown eyes and brown hair. 

Police said that she may have been taken to southeast Florida.
