Guillermo Pino: Hiker missing in San Diego County Found

UPDATE:  Guillermo Pino, Jr was discovered dead last Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the bottom of a 60-foot crevice.  Victim of a tragic accident.

Guillermo Pino, 26, went camping in Borrego Springs over the weekend with friends and is now missing.

Pino was camping with his sister and her husband and two friends near Arroyo Tapiado Campground in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.  He wandered away from the group on April 8 around noon and has not been seen since.

Pino was seen wandering the cave entrances in his bare feet and sitting on a ledge at the top of a cave as the group went inside the caves to cool off.  When they came back outside Pino was no longer there.  They reported him missing to the Border Patrol around 6:30 p.m. that evening.  

Pino is 6 feet tall with brown hair and eyes.  He was wearing a white plaid shirt and jeans.

The Anza Borrego state park (Arroyo Tapiado turn off of the Palm Springs/mile 43 marker on the highway) should be ventured by off road able vehicles ONLY.
