Daniel Hiser: Missing Kentucky college student Found

UPDATE:  May 17, 2012 – Daniel has been found in New Mexico. According to a press release from the Fayette County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Office, Daniel contacted his parents around 11:00 a.m., Sunday morning from New Mexico.   No explanation of circumstances surrounding his disappearance was released

Daniel Hiser, 20, from Milledgeville, Ohio was last seen on campus at Morehead State University in Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon.

Daniel sent a text message to his friend around 9:30 p.m., on Wednesday and he has not been heard from since.

Daniel was involved in a crash and hit a brick building, but when officials got there, he had driven away, leaving his car’s bumper and license plate at the scene. 

Police are worried he may be injured and needs help and have sent out a “Code Red Alert” to residents in the Christy Creek/Elliottville area of Rowan County.

Daniel is 6’3″ tall, 240 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  His vehicle is a 2000 Ford Expedition with a Ohio license plate and is missing bumper and damage probably on the passenger side.
