Erik Affholter: Former football player missing in Simi Valley Found

UPDATE:  Police have said that Erik has contacted his family and he is safe.

Erik Affholter, 46, was last seen by his girlfriend when she dropped him off at a trailhead behind the Metrolink Parking lot at 5050 Los Angeles Avenue around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.  He was planning on hiking in the Simi Valley area.

Erik is a former USC and Packers wide receiver and spent two seasons in the NFL, one with the Redskins and one with the Chargers. 

Volunteers and law enforcement have searched the area for Eric but they have not been able to locate him. 

Eric is 6’1″ tall, 200 pounds with shoulder length gray/brown hair and a gray beard.  He was wearing a maroon USC sweatshirt, black Adidas sweatpants and black shoes.  He was carrying two golf clubs and a walking stick and a back pack.  He did not have his cell phone with him.  If you see him, please notify the police.
