Dan Ross: Missing from Indiana Found

UPDATE:  July 10, 2012 – Dan Ross’ car was found at 1:45 p.m. Sunday east of the 17100 block of Mount Street.
A body was found inside in the driver’s seat and a Monday autopsy concluded the body belonged to Dan and the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Tire tracks indicated the vehicle left Mount Street and drove northeast down a farm path. It then proceeded into a bean field and a wooded area where it struck a tree.
The family of a missing Lowell, Ind., man is “dumbfounded” by his sudden disappearance June 25. Dan Ross, 55, last was seen dropping his son off at Schrum School in Calumet City at 6:30 a.m. Dan Ross is described as a white male, 5-feet-8, 170 pounds, with gray-and-black hair and a mustache. He was wearing a T-shirt, khaki shorts, flip-flops and a baseball cap and driving a 2011 silver Ford Taurus with Indiana license plates 555CEG. He also has three surgical scars on his torso. Lowell police detective David Lee said they have no clues about Ross’ disappearance. Calumet City police are assisting with the investigation. Anyone with information should call the Lowell police at (219) 696-0411.
