Lorinda White: Missing from New Hampshire Found

UPDATE: Police confirmed on August 16, 2012 that the deceased individual discovered six days ago behind the Jacques Memorial School was Lorinda White.

Capt. Christopher M. Nervik released little further information, except to say that police have determined through their investigation that there is no danger to the public and no cause for concern.
The discovery of the body shortly before noon Friday, Aug. 10, fueled town wide speculation that it was that of White. Family members, who organized a grid search of the area the day after White’s disappearance, called off the search just hours after the body was discovered, reports Nashua Telegraph.

Previous story:

Lorinda White, 51, from Milford, New Hampshire has not been acting like herself the last couple of weeks the family says.

She disappeared last Friday evening but came home later that evening.

Lorinda disappeared again last Sunday, but this time she did not return.

Her family said she left her home on Ford Street in Milford, without her shoes, cellphone or wallet.  Although White does not have any medical conditions or mental illnesses, her family says she has been acting “way out of character” and are worried it may be a medical condition that is causing her strange behavior.

The family is putting together a search party to look for her as they believe she may be in the woods.

William Pillsbury, Lorinda’s boyfriend said that on Friday when she disappeared, she deactivated her Facebook account.  They were packing at the time to go to Maine to visit Lorinda’s grown sons.

Pillsbury said that both her sons were going to talk to her about her disappearance on Friday and try to get to the bottom of it.

“She is in flight mode.  I think there’s some psychological and medical stuff going on,” said Pillsbury.

William reactivated Lorinda’s Facebook account and has put a missing person poster on there as her profile picture.

Lorinda is 5’4″ tall, 140 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.

If you have any information as to Lorinda’s whereabouts, please call 594-6415 or the Milford police at 249-0630.
