UPDATE 6/9/13 – Human remains found last month in a wooded area of northern Indiana have been identified through DNA as those of Candi Brown.

Brown’s cousin, James Edwards, tells WSBT-TV he doesn’t understand what his cousin could have done “that she deserved to be discarded like an animal.”

Previous story:  Candi Brown, 29, who also is known as Candi Morris, was last seen Sunday just after 1 a.m. in a car in the area of Holliday Street and Carroll Avenue, according to Michigan City Police Detective Corp Jason Holaway told the Herald Argus.

Candi’s car was found abandoned at “Three Sheets Bar” per family
The family and police believe that it is unusual for Brown to not be in touch with family, as she is married and has three young children.

Holoway said detectives have tracked some of Brown’s movements throughout the weekend, but the trail abruptly stops, leading them to ask for assistance from the public to find her.

Brown is a white female, 5′ 4″, 130 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was employed by Auto Couture in Michigan City.

Anyone having information about Brown or her whereabouts is asked to call police at (219) 874-3221 Ext. 346 or (219) 898-9059.
