Mia Graci Thompson: Amber Alert for missing baby Found

UPDATE:  Kendra Meaker, 19, the baby’s mom admits that she was the one that put her baby on the side of the road and drove off.  She has been arrested.

UPDATE – Mia has been found alive.  The baby was found by two volunteers, searching an area east of Toulon, near Pitzer’s corner and found her in a ditch.

An Amber Alert has been issued in Illinois for a 3-week-old baby girl who was kidnapped in front of a post office today, reports KSDK news.  

Please note that the Amber Alert says 3-weeks but Toulon city officials said she is 4 months old.

Mia Graci Thompson is from Toulon, Ill.  She was taken from the back seat of the car when her mother went inside the post office, according to Stark County Sheriff’s Office. 

Mia is eight pounds and 21 inches long. She is white and has blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a yellow onesie with a flower on the left shoulder and blue jeans with pink flowers on the cuffs, the Amber Alert says.

 

The suspect is a white female with brown hair who was wearing yellow sweatpants. The woman was driving a gold or tan Buick or Pontiac and authorities said the back seat of her car is full of items.

The Amber Alert was issues by Illinois State Police.
Authorities are asking that anyone with information call the Stark County Sheriff’s Office at 309-286-2541 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
