UPDATE:  October 17, 2012 –

A body found inside a Hollister home where David Quiroz, 30, had a 10-hour standoff with a SWAT team was positively identified on Tuesday as Heather Alaina Carroll, 25, of Hollister.

Forensic pathologist doctor John Hain determined Heather Alaina Carroll’s cause of death was a combination of blunt force trauma and strangulation.

A car belonging to a missing California mother was found on fire Thursday morning.

Heather Carroll, 25, has been missing since Wednesday after she dropped off her child at their school on Ladd Lane.  The following morning the Hollister fire department responded to a car fire on Enterprise Road.  The vehicle was a tan Sequoia SUV that belonged to Carroll.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Carroll, please call the police at 831-636-4331.
