UPDATE: 11/1/12 According to Lt. Tim Thornton, of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, Dr. John Janik was located Wednesday afternoon by GHSU Police. Thornton said he had no further details on where the doctor might have been.
Previous story: Dr. John Edward Janik, 61, of Augusta, South Carolina who is the director of the Immune Therapy Clinical Trial Program in AugSouth Carolina is missing after he never showed up for a meeting at work on Tuesday.
Janik’s wife told North Augusta officers that she is unaware of any problems that would make him unreachable.
He was last seen wearing a brown jacket and pants with a white shirt and driving a burgundy 1995 Chevrolet Camaro with a South Carolina license plate of 6839FS.
