Kayla Campbell: Teen missing from North Carolina Found

UPDATE:  Kayla’s body was found near Mint Hill after investigators drained the pond.  A local contractor offered to drain the pond yesterday and four water pumps were installed.

Kayla’s bicycle was pulled out of the pond, along with her cell phone.

At this time, no foul play is suspected.  Kayla battled with depression.

Previous Story:
Kayla Campbell, 16, went missing from Dartmoor Place in Mint Hill, North Carolina on Sunday, Dec 9, 2012. She left around 2:30 p.m. and was to return home around 5:15 p.m. but she never showed up and there has been no contact from her since.

A bicycle was pulled out of a pond on Monday afternoon that spawned the police to search the pond located off of Pumpkin Way and Sable Gap reports WBTV. No confirmation has been made that the bike belong to Kayla.

Kayla is approximately 5’6″ tall, 115lbs, with brown long hair, and blue eyes.
Anyone with information as to her whereabouts or has seen her in the last 24 hours is asked to contact the Mint Hill Police Department dispatch center at 704 847-5555.
