Wanda Jean Boxley: Missing from Missouri Found

UPDATE:   Wanda’s car was found by a man searching for shed deer antlers in southeast Marceline. He took the license plate number down and returned to town, where he saw Wanda’s MP flyer at a convenience store. He called authorities, who found Wanda’s remains about 60 yards from the car.

Family members say an autopsy will be performed Monday to confirm the body’s identity.

Wanda Jean Boxley, 82, was last seen on Nov. 16, 2012.  She is from Linn County Missouri and drove from her home in Laclede to see some relatives who live about 10 miles away.  Boxley made a quick stop at the County Line Convenience store on West Help in Brookfield. Once inside, the well-known grandmother bought a lottery ticket like she always does, put $10 worth of gas in her car and took off, reports Fox4 news.

Boxley’s family said they don’t know of any medical conditions. They said she has not shown any signs of dementia.

Boxley is described as 5-4 and 135 pounds. She has blue eyes and grayish-red hair. The vehicle she was driving was a light yellow 1991 Grand Marquis with Missouri tags WS7 J0J.

Wanda drives a yellow 1991 Mercury Marquis.
