Maria Arrochoa: Missing senior from Texas Found


UPDATE:  1/4/13 – Authorities have found the body of missing Maria Arrocha.  She was found Thursday afternoon in a wooded area near Stadium Drive. That’s less than a mile away from where she was last seen, reports myFoxdfw.

The medical examiner said there were no signs of foul play in the woman’s death. She died from exposure to the elements.

Maria Arrocha, 77, was last seen by family members about 9 a.m. Dec. 18 at her home in the 1800 block of Arbor Lane in Arlington, Texas.

Her family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.

Arrocha shows signs of having Alzheimer’s disease and has a history of becoming easily confused.

She is described as a Hispanic female with black and gray hair and brown eyes. She is about 5-foot-5 and weighs about 180 pounds.

Arrocha was wearing a black long-sleeve sweater and tan pants when she was last seen, according to reports.
