Tammy Salle: Missing Montana woman under suspicious circumstances found

UPDATE 3/2/13 – Tammy Salle’s remains have been found by a fisherman who found her body in a river, according to the Facebook page set up by her family who says she was identified by her tattoos.

UPDATE:  1/31/13 – The police are searching a landfill after a sanitation worker told police last week that they picked up an unusually heavy trash receptacle on Dec. 24, the day after Salle was last seen and two days before she was reported missing, Barkell told the Independent Record.

They had searched through 60 to 70 tons of trash by Wednesday, but had many more tons to go.

UPDATE:  1/1/13 – The police said today that the note left by Goldberg, left no clues as to the whereabouts of missing Tammy Salle.

UPDATE:  12/30/12 – The body of Tammy’s boyfriend, John Goldberg was found in his truck at a truck stop west of Missoula.  Police told the Montana Standard that it  appears he shot himself in the head with a semi-automatic pistol. Police said they also found a four-page suicide note, and that Goldberg had been dead for at least a day.

Tammy Salle, 41, has been missing since Wednesday, Dec 26, 2012 from 506 Hickory Street in Anaconda, Montana, and police are calling the disappearance suspicious, according to the Montana Standard.

Authorities found her car she was driving on a road near Racetrack, south of Deer Lodge near I-90 on Friday.  A Powell County Sheriff’s Deputy found her 2008 Pontica Grand Prix around 6:35 a.m.  One of the tires were damaged, like it she had a blowout while driving. 

Authorities also are trying to find Salle’s boyfriend, John Goldberg, 38, so they can question him further, according to Anaconda Police Chief Tim Barkell. Barkell called Salle’s disappearance suspicious.

After Salle’s daughter reported her missing, police questioned Salle’;s boyfriend, John Goldberg, 38, where he and Salle lived.   He told the police they had an argument and she left on Sunday in her car. When police asked Goldberg to come to the police station for further questioning, he never showed up, according to Barkell.

Police are searching for Goldberg for further questioning.  He may be driving his 2010 GMC pickup truck. 

Salle is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 to 150 pounds with green eyes and brown hair.
