Isaac Winifred Danyus: Missing from Waukegan

Isaac Winifred Danyus, 62, from Waukegan, Illinois has been missing since Sept. 27, 2012.  He was last seen on Sept. 26 when he was helping his brother make funeral arrangements for their sister.  Isaac met his wife for breakfast and he never returned home and never came to the funeral on Friday.  He was last seen on the 2800 block of Dover Street in Waukegan.

“This isn’t like him. He spent 34 years at the same job, raised three kids and has been married to the same woman for 37 years,” said his brother.

Isaac Danyus drove a rig for cross-country moves. His Chevrolet Blazer was found at an apartment complex near Washington Street and Greenleaf Avenue where his son lived almost two years ago.  The truck was towed because it was parked in a reserved parking space.

Family members went door-to-door in the apartment complex with Isaac’s picture, but had no luck. They also searched a nearby wooded area, checked hospitals and called people in Decatur where they moved from 30 years ago, and no one has seen him.

Isaac is described as a black male with salt-and-pepper hair, brown eyes, 5-feet 9-inches tall and 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket.  He wears glasses and has an index finger on his right hand shorter than the index on his left.  Anyone seeing Danyus is asked to contact their local police department or the Waukegan Police Department at (847) 599-2608.
