Furlong’s family received a parking ticket for her car from Venice.
According to a Facebook page set up by Furlong’s family “…it was this past weekend after receiving a parking ticket from Venice, CA that led us to investigate the possibility that Raven was in Southern California. After communication with the Pacific Division of the LAPD in Venice that prompted Raven’s mom and step-father to fly immediately to Los Angeles. Sgt. Parks at the LAPD had someone watch Raven’s car until her mom arrived; for over 12 hours they sat and waited for their daughter to arrive, but at 9am this morning no one returned to pick up the car. We have no proof anyone has been with the car since 6pm Friday. Inside the car items found of Raven’s appeared as if she may be with the car, but the disturbing items belonging to others raised more issues and unanswered questions continue.”
Lin Furlong said she fears her daughter may have been kidnapped after her name turned up on a modeling site, ModelMayhem.com.
“There may be some legitimate photographers on there, but I think it’s a gateway for trafficking young women,” Lin Furlong said.
She was last seen the morning of February 5, when she left her home to go to school but never made it to school.
Furlong’s aunt discovered her Model Mayhem profile after she vanished and saw some disturbing correspondence.
“The photographers asking her to do nude photographs after asking her if she was 18 and her telling them no,” Buckley told Fox 31.
According to the station, Furlong called her family last month, but her mother says the call wasn’t normal.
“She said she had to go because it’s not her phone and they need their phone back,” said Lin Furlong.
Raven is 5’5″, 125, with auburn hair (that may be dyed), hazel eyes, and tattoos on her right hand and wrist of a star and a heart.
Her vehicle is a 1999 burgundy four door Ford Taurus, with Colorado license 284WAU.
