UPDATE 3/15/13 – After a long-distance bus driver told authorities that Abraham was on her bus to Sparks, Nevada, on Thursday, law enforcement was notified in Nevada and in Utah and he was found Friday evening, said Santa Cruz County sheriff’s Lt. Steve Carney.
Previous story: Matthew Abraham, 20, was last seen on Wednesday at his home on Dobit Lane in Scotts Valley, Calif.
Scott recently suffere a head injury in a mountain bike crash on March 8 said authorities. He fell over 50 feet from a trestle on to sand.
The Santa Cruz County sheriff’s office has been searching for him and so far they have not found him.
“They did a pretty thorough search in Henry Cowell and a huge area around his house,” Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Carney said.
Abraham is 6 feet 1 inch tall and 150 pounds. He has light brown and blond hair, hazel eyes and he might be wearing rainbow colored running shoes and shorts, authorities said.
He also might be carrying a large black backpack. Abraham recently talked about “the observation deck in Henry Cowell State Park and the hiking trails above UCSC,” Carney said.
