Armanai Pierce: Toddler missing from Tampa Bay Found

UPDATE:  8/14/13 – Sadly the police have located Armanai’s body. Early this morning, dog picked up his sent along the shore line.  The police dive team searched the water and found his body.

Previous story:  Police are looking for a toddler who was reported missing from a north Tampa park in Florida.  Officers are looking for 2-year-old Armanai Pierce, reports My Fox Tampa Bay.

He is wearing a grey t-shirt, dark blue basketball shorts and white Nike shoes, police said. He has a scar on his top left ear.

The family was leaving from a football practice at the park at Temple Crest Playground at 8116 37th Street North, and his mom was putting other kids in the car when Armanai disappeared, the boy’s grandmother said.

“She turned around for a minute and Armanai dashed off,” said Jackie Pierce.
Armanai goes by the nickname “Poppy” according to his family.
