UPDATE: Quinn was located in Albuquerque, N.M. with his mother Rainy.

Previous story:  An AMBER Alert was issued for 5-year-old Quinn Whitsitt of Sebastian County, Arkansas, on Thursday, with authorities saying that his mother, Rainy Whitsitt, could have possibly taken him.

Whitsitt was asleep in his bed at 1 a.m. when his grandparents checked on him but was reported missing at 6:30 a.m.  The grandparents found the interior and exterior garage doors were open.

It is believed that it is possible that Rainy Whitsitt, Quinn’s mother who does not have custody of him could have taken him.  She lives in the New Mexico area and is know for her skills in Jui Jitsu.

A second person of interest is Rodney Romero, 47, a former Rio Rancho High School assistant wrestling coach.   He drives a 2013 Ford CMAX which may be unlicensed.  Rainy has a protection order against Romero.  It is unknown if they are together or not.

According to an article in Rio Rancho Observer, Rainy who grew up in Ft. Smith was a victim of domestic violence and that is when she began to learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Whitsitt won titles in 2011 in Oklahoma City, Dallas, Arkansas and Albuquerque.  Prior to the trip to Long Beach, she won championships in 2012 in Albuquerque, Phoenix and El Paso (in men’s purple belt gi).

Quinn is described as 3’1″ tall and weighs around 42 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white pajama top and blue pajama bottoms.

The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), FBI, and state police are investigating the matter, reported Arkansas Matters.
