Amber Alert: Missing infant Henry Guler-Romero was abducted by Mesut Guler Found

UPDATE:  11/6/13 –  Henry Gular has been found.  Mesut was stopped at a checkpoint in Mexico near Arizona when authorities discovered the warrant for his arrest, according to the Sunnyvale Police Department. Mesut Guler was arrested and his 2-week-old son was found unharmed, police said.

Previous story:  There have been several sightings of a Bay area man and a 2-week-old baby after a statewide Amber Alert was reported on Wednesday.

Mesut Guler, 22, of Sunnyvale has allegedly abducted his 2-week-old son Henry Guler-Romero, after telling the baby’s mother he was leaving the state after an argument.
A statement from the Sunnyvale police, said that Guler “has made previous threats to harm himself and the baby.”

A call came in late Tuesday reporting a tall man with a small baby on a street corner in San Diego County, CHP Officer Robert Catana told the LA Times.
Several more sightings of the tan, 2004 GMC Envoy SUV in the Hillcrest and National City area were reported to the police on Wednesday.

Sunnyvale authorities “pinged” Guler’s cellphone and it showed the located was near Balboa Avenue area in San Diego.

If you see Guler or the vehicle with license plate number 6HIL892, please contact 911 or the Sunnyvale Police Department at 408-730-7110. The vehicle also has an image of a large American eagle on the rear window.
