Anne Stroll: Missing in Illinois Found

UPDATE:  12/4/13 -Anne has been found and police state it appears to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said today. The cause of her death appears to be suicide, according to Orlando Portillo, chief deputy coroner of Lake County.

Anne Stroll, 64, who lives on the 1700 block of Arrowwood Way in Libertyville, IL left a note for her husband and said she was going on a bike ride on Dec. 2.  She never returned home.

According to Libertyville Police Lt. Bill Kinast she was reported missing about 3:30 p.m. A ping to her cell phone showed she ws near the Des Plaines River Trail at the south end of Independence Grove Forest Preserve near Route 137.

A post on  Michael Stroll’s Facebook page said, “There has been a large scale search for Anne at Independence Park, Libertyville where her cell phone is believed to be, but still unfound. Police, Firemen, Rangers, Bloodhounds and a Helicopter. As of 6am this morning there is no news.

Anne Stroll, who is described as being 5′ 8″, weighing 120 pounds and having blue eyes and shoulder-length blond hair, was last seen wearing a red bandana. Her bike was described as a blue Trek Navigator.
