Elizabeth Romero: Amber Alert from Kennewich, Wash. FOUND

UPDATE:  12/10/13 – Chelan County Emergency Management officials announced that Elizabeth has been found in Jalisco, Mexico.  She has spoken to her mother by phone.

There is still a warrant out for the arrest of Rosales for investigation of second-degree kidnapping. Officers are also looking for a second person suspected of aiding Rosales.

Previous story:  An Amber Alert was activated in California on Thursday at 4:20 p.m. for a 14-year-old girl named Elizabeth Romero from Kennewick, Wash., reports KSBW news.

The police believe she was abducted by Edwardo Fabian Flores Rosales, 19 and is driving her to Mexico. Elizabeth was seen getting into Rosales’ green Frod Escape.  The car has a temporary Washington license plate.  Police said Elizabeth’s mother received a text message from an unknown phone number from someone claiming to be Elizabeth and saying she was headed to Mexico with her boyfriend.

Elizabeth was last seen wearing a white top, dark pants, carrying a backpack and a pink purse. She has brown hair, brown eyes, weighs 130 pounds, and is 5’3″ tall.

Rosales has black hair and brown eyes, weighs 225 pounds, and is 5’9″ tall.
Anyone with information should call 911 or the Kennewick Police Department at 509-585-4208.

The Amber Alert spread from Washington to Oregon to California Thursday afternoon because the CHP believes Rosales is fleeing south.
