UPDATE 7/16/15 – A Worcester judge ruled that Elsa Oliver, the mother of Jeremiah Oliver will stand trial on assault, kidnapping and child endangerment charges. Her boyfriend Alberto Sierra Jr., is facing the same charges. As of this date, no one has been charged with Oliver’s death.
UPDATE 4/20/14 – The Worcester County District Attorney’s office has identified the body found off of I-190 as Jeremiah Oliver, according to NECN.
UPDATE 4/19/14 – A body found off a highway in central Massachusetts may belong to Jeremiah. The authorities say the remains match Jeremiah’s height and weight, authorities said. Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said the body of a child found was found wrapped in a blanket inside a duffel bag.
“It appears to be a homicide,” the prosecutor said at a news conference.
UPDATE 12/21/13 – A search by volunteers was conducted around the neighborhood for Jerimiah. Jose Oliver of Worcester, Jeremiah’s biological father, also searched for Jeremiah.
He told the Lowell Sun that he hadn’t seen his son in two years because of a restraining order filed by the boy’s mother, Elsa Oliver.
Previous story: Jeremiah Oliver, 5, from Fitchburg, Mass. was last seen on Sept. 14, and the police are asking for help to locate him.
His mother, Elsa Oliver, 28, of 276 Kimball Street was arrested on Monday for two counts of reckless endangerment of a child and two counts of accessory after the fact of a felony, states the district attorney’s office.
Albert L. Sierra, 22, of 164 Meadowbrook Lane who is Elsa’s boyfriend was also arrested for two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault and battery on a child causing bodily injury.
Elsa’s other two children are in the custody of child welfare.
