Randy Ward, went missing from Eden Prairie, MN on June 21, 2011.  He was 58.  He was last seen on an Indian Motorcycle heading to Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Randy’s sister is looking for him and provided this story:

“No word from him, no body, no clues have surfaced so far. No crimes or laws were broken so police in FL or MN  that were first involved most likely had no reason to pursue the disappearance any longer than the initial investigation.

He rented a 24-foot Hurricane Sundeck boat from the Bahia Mar Resort & Yachting Center marina in Fort Lauderdale about 9 a.m. on Tuesday June , according to the Coast Guard.

About 10 p.m., a marina employee called authorities to say he was supposed to return by 7 p.m. but never showed up.

Several Coast Guard crews launched a search and found the rented boat floating about 7 miles off the coast of Lake Worth, Florida about 1 a.m., according to Fort Lauderdale Police.

The boat appeared to have some mechanical problems, and authorities said a rope was wrapped around the propeller. Randy was the kind of guy who would jump in the water to try to fix it. He had a very good knowledge of motor mechanics and could have possibly used this situation to stage a disappearance.

Randy is a good swimmer who could tread water for a long time and who owned several boats over the years, he also did some scuba diving when he was young.

A marina employee said Randy had rented a boat on Monday morning and returned safely that evening. He returned the next day & rented the boat again on June 28 & didn’t return with it.

A rental car he was using was found parked in the parking lot. He would be 61 at present. ”

If you know of his whereabouts, please leave an tip here or call the police.
